Today, we have a presentation by the Health/Wellness Ministry Team.

Today, we celebrate our Parish Nurse Ministry. We thank God for the many ways our Parish Nurse, Diane Erickson, has been promoting spiritual, emotional and physical health within our congregation. Last fall, Diane marked 10 years of faithful Parish Nurse Ministry at St. Andrew’s. We are deeply grateful for the blessing Diane and the Parish Nurse Ministry has been to our congregation!

St. Andrew's Health Education Scholarships for 2012 are being presented this morning at the 10:30 am worship service. Congratulations to the recipients!

God’s richest blessings on Finn Douglas Ryan, son of Alan and Jennifer Ryan, being baptized this morning. Finn was born February 14, 2012. His sponsor is Stephanie Finnvik.

Youth breakfast with Pastor George for high students in grades 9-12 will be served Tuesday, May 15 at 7:00 am. Bacon, pancakes with strawberries and whipped cream and orange juice will be served. Bring a friend!

Men's Bible Study meets weekly Wednesday mornings at 7:00 am at the Forest Lake Restaurant. All men are welcome.

Please join the women of St. Andrew's for Women's Bible Study on Wednesday at 5:00 pm in Pastor Megan's office. All women are welcome to attend this opportunity to examine, expand and explore our understanding of the Bible.

Pastor George will be offering two classes. One will help us refocus on our ministry of hospitality,
the other will offer instruction on our ministry of visitation. The first class on Hospitality
will be offered Wednesday, May 16 at 7:00 pm. The second class on Visitation will be
offered Wednesday, May 23 at 7:00 pm.

Hello! Did you know the church’s phone system had to be replaced last month? This was not a planned replacement either. The cost to replace the system was $1,800.00. We are accepting donations to help defray this cost from our budget. Please note “phone system” on your checks. We thank you for your contributions and support.

Vacation Bible School Registrations Now Available! St. Andrew’s VBS “Up, Up and Away! A Trip Around God’s World” will be held June 25-29 from 9 am to noon for grades Preschool – Grade 4. Register your children and their friends today! Registration forms are on the table in the Narthex. Completed registrations can be left in the church office. All are welcome! Quilting Group - A BIG thank you to all who have helped this year by sewing quilt tops at home. Kits will continue to be available all summer in the green bin in the Fellowship Hall. If you can come and join us to quilt on Wednesdays at 9:30 am in the Fireside Room, we would love to have you help. No experience necessary! The quilting group will continue to meet dur-ing the summer months. Sunday, June 3, many of the quilts made this past year will be dis-played at Sunday morning worship services.

Did you know? Both St. Andrew's Lutheran Church and St. Andrew's Preschool are enrolled as participating organizations in Thrivent Choice. Thrivent Choice is a charitable grant program that allows eligible members to recommend where Thrivent Financial distributes part of its charitable outreach grant funds each year. Summer Worship Music - With the summer schedule soon upon us, our choirs will be taking a break from rehearsals and assisting with worship. This always gives us the opportunity to enjoy other types of musical talents; i.e. soloists, small groups, instrumentalists, etc. If you would be willing to share your talents on a Sunday morning, please let us know. Summer worship ser-vices will be held at 8:00 and 9:30 am beginning Memorial Day weekend Sunday, May 27 through Labor Day weekend Sunday, September 2.

Good Samaritan Fund is always in need of additional funds. Any contributions would be greatly appreciated. Make checks payable to St. Andrew's and indicate "Good Samaritan Fund" and place in the offering plate or drop off in the church office.

St. Andrew's Handbell Choir to attend 2012 Festival Conference June 28-July 1 in Duluth. Over 500 ringers will join forces for ringing, learning and fellowship! St. Andrew's has 10 members planning to attend the festival. A final concert will be held at the DECC on Sunday, July 1 at 1:30 pm; free and open to the public. If you would like to help support us, donations would be appreciated. Checks can be made payable to St. Andrew's Handbell Choir and placed in the offering plate or dropped off in the church office.

Hospitalized? Please let us know. The Pastors would like to visit you when you are in the hos-pital, but are unable to do so if unaware of your hospitalization. Because of confidentiality laws, the hospitals DO NOT inform the church if a member is admitted. It is up to you and your family to call the church office.
Simply Giving and Automatic Withdrawal participants will find laminated cards in the pew to place in the offering plate each Sunday to show that you give regularly. If you would like to set up one of these processes for consistent giving to St. Andrew's, please contact the church office at 326-8508.

The Prayer Shawl Ministry is in need of Prayer Shawls. Basic knit and crochet patterns are available in the church office or feel free to make up your own. Fringe is not recommended. If you don't knit or crochet but would like to help, 3 skeins of the same color yarn are needed for each shawl. Yarn can be left in the church office. Recommended is Lion Brand Homespun yarn available at Wal-Mart. For more information, please call Ann Godfrey at 326-4948.

Audio recordings are made of worship services each Sunday. If you would like a copy to listen to a service again or if you missed a service, please contact the church office at 326-8508 during the week and a recorded CD will be made for you.

WELCA provides Camperships for members of St. Andrew’s who will be attending summer camps at Camp Hiawatha and Camp Vermilion. Amounts provided are $50 for Full-Week Camp, $25 for Mini-Week Camp and $10 for Half Pint Day. Contact a WELCA Board member for more information.
